Director of Student Affairs
Overview:
This senior role oversees student services, activities, and associated facilities (gym, student engagement, career services), supporting academic goals, student retention, and discipline for non-academic violations.
Responsibilities:
- Serve on senior staff, participating in decision-making and policy development.
- Lead student services and activities, including orientation, gym, career services, student organizations, leadership programs, major events, and traditions.
- Manage and evaluate facilities, programs and staff.
- Implement student leadership training, risk management, and campus policy education.
- Collaborate with departments and analyze data to enhance student and faculty engagement.
- Oversee the student employment program, working with HR on training and evaluation.
- Advise student organizations and manage sensitive issues professionally.
- Coordinate with Academic Advisors and the Testing Office to support new and at-risk students, and those needing remedial services.
- Publish the student handbook and manage the student events calendar, working with Marketing & Communications.
- Implement technology solutions to support Student Affairs programs.
- Hire, train, and evaluate staff, setting performance objectives and managing reviews.
- Manage the departmental budget and oversee student organization finances.
- Represent Student Affairs in committees and other capacities as needed.

- Ability to lead and evaluate staff, with flexibility for evening and weekend work.
Experience & Education:
- Master’s in Higher Education Administration/Student Personnel or related field.
- 3–5 years in Student Affairs, including student activities, staff supervision, and budget management.
- Experience with research, data analysis, and policy development in higher education.
