About the Job:


An opportunity has arisen for a Director of Finance to join Finance at Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel, Kuwait. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:


  • Financial Management & Compliance: Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting policies, procurement practices, financial reporting, budgetary control, and legal/contractual compliance with Jumeirah standards.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accurate business performance projections for resource allocation and financial stability.
  • Team Leadership & Talent Development: Lead the Finance team to enhance performance, develop talent, and create strong succession planning within the property and Jumeirah Group.
  • Business Performance & Audit Coordination: Provide value-added business reporting to identify improvement areas, support internal and external audits, and maintain strong relationships with audit teams.
  • Owner & Stakeholder Relations: Maintain a solid business relationship with the owner/representative, ensuring alignment on business objectives, approvals for key activities, and compliance with local accounting and tax regulations.
  • Strategic Partnership & Additional Responsibilities: Act as a financial advisor to the General Manager and ExCom team, enforce capital replacement and disposal policies, and undertake any other duties as required by management.
