In this role, you will be responsible for assessing patients prior to surgery, administering anesthesia, and monitoring patients throughout procedures and in the ICU. You are a consultant anesthesiologist responsible for efficient anesthesia services. Being a Head of Anaesthesiology, this role works closely with hospital staff, department directors, and physicians to ensure the highest standards of quality and service are maintained.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Develop individualized anesthetic plans based on patient conditions and surgical procedures.
- Administer various types of anesthesia in surgical settings.
- Monitor vital signs and physiological responses during procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Oversee recovery of patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).
- Manage pain control and address any postoperative complications.
- Provide critical care management for patients in the ICU.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Lead and participate in emergency resuscitation efforts when needed.
- Respond to anesthesia-related emergencies and complications promptly.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding procedures and treatment options.
- Helps in the professional development of all staff and provides teaching materials as part of the professional development of the staff;
- Maintains a work environment that promotes high standards for patient care, customer service, and ethical behavior;
- Undertakes all work in accordance with the procedures and operating policies, including Infection Control, Health and Safety, Risk Management etc.

Education & Qualifications:
- MBBS and Specialty degree and High Qualification (Specialty Diploma, Fellowship, PhD, European, American, Canadian, German, Irish & UK Board);
- ICU certification/subspecialty is mandatory
- Experience not less than 20 years, 10 years after the high qualification will get Consultant level license;
- Willing to relocate to Kuwait.
