The Opportunity


We are seeking a Compliance Officer to play a vital role in driving our compliance program, supporting both local and regional initiatives to uphold the highest standards of business ethics. 


The Compliance Officer will serve as the primary compliance advisor for our country team, coordinating closely with global and regional compliance counterparts to ensure consistent implementation of policies, training, and monitoring plans. 


The Compliance Officer will ensure a thorough understanding of compliance requirements across the organization, foster ethical business practices, and support sustainable growth by embedding our compliance strategy in every aspect of our operations.


Your Impact


  • Ensure awareness, understanding, and enforcement of compliance SOPs and programs


  • Exchange and share knowledge regularly within ME countries


  • Foster and monitor completion of mandatory e-learning training within the country.


  • Prepare and conduct required compliance training and act as a "Change Agent" by setting new compliance processes, procedures, and guidelines, partnering closely with the business to drive the implementation of the integrity risk management process


  • Review main local projects from a compliance perspective, ensuring alignment with applicable guidance


  • Support or conduct compliance monitoring, controls, and audits in business integrity, obtaining assurance declarations on business compliance from local managers


  • Identify the need for new or revised processes and guidelines based on changes, compliance trends, and risk assessments


  • Ensure timely risk management and identification activities, addressing and documenting all business ethics incidents.


  • Network actively across departments to seek involvement and expertise on various risk and compliance topics; collaborate with regional and global compliance functions to enhance synergies and promote best practice sharing within and beyond the region.


  • Foster collaboration with Roche compliance functions in the country to enable synergies.


  • Organize local compliance operation visits and follow-ups.


  • Support and lead the country compliance committee.


  • Participate actively as a member of the leadership team, attending operational and business meetings and providing compliance support as needed.


  • Represent Roche actively in local trade associations.


Who You Are


  • You hold a university degree, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Legal, or Life Science


  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 3 years in Compliance, ideally with experience in system management


  • You possess excellent communication and presentation skills, with proven experience in training, and demonstrate high personal integrity when handling confidential information


  • You bring strong organizational skills, strategic agility, and experience working within commercial and medical environments


  • You have led others, either directly or indirectly, and are skilled in resolving complex issues within a matrix organization


  • You exhibit high ethical standards and embody Roche’s values of Integrity, Passion, and Courage, while fostering teamwork and collaboration


  • You are solutions-oriented, with strong analytical skills and sound judgment, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently and setting priorities for execution


  • You are fluent in Arabic and English, with a solid understanding of the Roche Code of Conduct and local regulatory codes.
