About the Job:


An opportunity has arisen for a Chef de Partie to join The Pastry at Jumeirah Messilah Beach. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:


  • Assist colleagues and support culinary teams to enhance team spirit, credibility, and trust.
  • Train and develop culinary colleagues according to the monthly training plan and address areas for improvement.
  • Provide performance feedback and highlight strengths in the absence of the Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef.
  • Keep the Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef updated on challenges and irregularities, recommending courses of action.
  • Supervise colleagues during set-up, service, and breakdown, ensuring quality ingredients are ordered, received, and stored.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, ensure proper food rotation, and develop a safe and clean working environment.

About you:


  • Should have 1 year minimum experience in the same role at a five-star hotel.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Work in a multicultural environment.
  • Knowledge of the style of cuisine.
  • Knowledge of HACCP as well as general health & safety in the workplace.
