Business Analyst - IT

Alghanim Industries is one of the largest privately-owned companies in the Persian Gulf region, predominantly in Kuwait. A multinational company in outlook with operations in 40 countries, Alghanim Industries is a multibillion-dollar conglomerate with more than 30 businesses. 

This role sits within the Business Solutions IT Team, predominantly focusing on business units including:
•    Retail (X-Cite, the largest Electricals retailer in Kuwait & Safat, one of the leading home furnishing brands).

We’re currently searching for a Business Analyst who will be based in Kuwait Office and will be directly reporting to the Sr. Product Owner - SCM & Customer Service. From researching progressive systems solutions to evaluating their impact, our ideal candidate is a detailed planner, expert communicator, focused analyst and pay close attention to details. Business Analyst should be wholly committed to the discovery and development of innovative solutions in the supply chain domain in an ever-changing digital landscape. 

• Support the entire lifecycle of solutions, from requirements gathering to implementation and administration.
• Ensure that solutions are aligned with business needs, fit for purpose, and deliver a calculable ROI.

• Performing requirements analysis. Develop business requirements into user stories, epics and business requirement documentation as required.
• Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement and developing and implementing solutions ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
• Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
• Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
• Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
• Producing deliverables ensuring timing completion.
• Managing vendors and business stakeholders.
• Create, maintain, and organize  documents outlining the proposed changes / project details .
• Ensuring documentation / communication of the minutes of the meetings.
• Contributing to training and support for people affected by new systems and processes
• Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
• Support with sprint planning in order to deliver approved backlog of change. 
• Engage with other Business Analyst and developers across other functional domains (e.g. Supply Chain) to ensure knowledge sharing. Where applicable, recommend solutions that could benefit other business areas, and vice-versa.
• Engaging cross-functional leadership and driving strategic initiatives for IT and business teams.

• 2 years+ experience working as a Business Analyst in the omni-channel environment.
• 2 years+ experience of working within retail, with preference for Digital facing brands.
• Experience of facilitating & running workshops (business & IT facing).
• Experience of capturing and documenting business requirements. 
• Domain Knowledge: Understanding of specific business domains (e.g., supply chain, customer service) can be valuable
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills
• Experience with business analysis methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
• Knowledge of IT systems and processes.
• Ability to produce Clear, Concise, Coherent, and Correct documents
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
