BUDGET ANALYST



Department of the Army 595TH US ARMY TRANSPORTATION BRIGADE About the Position: This position is located with the 595th US transportation Brigade in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. This remote opportunity can be performed from the employee's home of record.

Duties



The incumbent will perform the full range of budget formulation/ execute duties associated with the fiscal planning, programming, budgeting, and execution responsibilities for assigned areas of responsibility. Monitors and evaluates budget execution for assigned programs and mission areas to ensure funds are executed in accordance with approved Command operating budgets and other fiscal requirements. Identifies problem areas, research, determine, and implement corrective courses of action. Analyzes and summarizes historical data to identify trends and to assess funding requirements.

Conditions of Employment



Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. This position may require the incumbent to work overtime on a regular basis to accommodate peak workflow or respond to emergency situations, often under severe time constraints. The incumbent is required to obtain an interim Secret clearance and obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance based on the duties and responsibilities identified. This is Financia Management Level II certified position. Incumbent is required to comply with Department of Defense and Department of Army requirements of this certification program. The certification must be obtained within 2 years of employment. The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing budgetary functions and analysis in support of the formulation, justification, execution and review of an organization's budget program.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11)
