Job Overview
American International University (AIU) – Kuwait City is seeking Part-Time or Full-Time Faculty for its Biomedical Engineering program within the School of Engineering and Computing for the 2024–2025 academic year.
The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking educator and active member of the biomedical engineering field, capable of delivering engaging undergraduate instruction in areas such as biomedical signal processing, instrumentation, and medical imaging. Candidates should be passionate about teaching, mentoring, and curriculum development in a diverse, student-centered environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in:
- Biomedical Signals and Systems
- Biomedical Instrumentation
- Medical Imaging
- Supervise and mentor undergraduate student projects
- Engage in research and scholarly activity aligned with biomedical engineering
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic advising
- Participate in departmental, school, and university service
- Foster an inclusive and collaborative learning environment
Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field
- Strong communication skills in English (instruction is in English)
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and student success
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse faculty and student body
- Preferred: University-level teaching experience and an active research agenda
