Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the installation of new air conditioning systems, including ductwork, piping, and electrical connections.
  • Help in positioning and securing compressors, condensers, and other components.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, and checking refrigerant levels.
  • Assist in conducting system performance tests to ensure optimal operation.
  • Support the diagnosis and repair of air conditioning system malfunctions, including electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Help in replacing defective parts, such as motors, thermostats, and compressors.
  • Provide assistance to the Senior AC Technician in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical problems.
  • Help in the calibration of thermostatic controls and other system components.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety standards when handling refrigerants and other hazardous materials.
  • Other duties as assigned. 


Skills

Required Educational Qualifications & Work Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certification in HVAC or related fields is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in AC maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and tolerate various weather conditions.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
