Air and Missile Defense Specialist
The Opportunity:
As a CACI Air and Missile Defense Specialist in support of the CJTF OIR CJ36, you will assist the government with planning, coordination, and execution of AMD operations.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise and guidance on the employment of air and missile defense systems, including Patriot, THAAD, SHORAD (LPWS, Coyote, FS LIDS, etc.), EW, and Avenger systems, in accordance with FM 3-01 and FM 3-01.7, Air Defense Artillery Reference Handbook. Coordinates with program offices, OIR directorates, Components, and downtrace units to ensure effective air and missile defense operations, including the integration of air and missile defense systems with other combat systems. Support unit AMD operations training and evaluations of the Base Defense Operations Centers (BDOCs).
Provide technical expertise and guidance on the employment of FAAD and associated equipment. An Air and Missile Defense (AMD) specialist operating and maintaining Forward Area Air Defense (FAAD) systems must possess technical expertise in FAAD software applications, including the FAAD C2 software installed on MILTOPE laptops, and be proficient in their use to manage Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (cUAS) and Short-Range Air Defense (SHORAD) systems. They must be knowledgeable in configuring and troubleshooting the FAAD software to optimize system performance, as well as experience with importing and exporting data files, such as track data and sensor feeds, to support air defense operations. Additionally, they must be able to perform software updates, patches, and maintenance on the MILTOPE laptops to ensure system reliability and security.
Employ program management knowledge and acquisition development oversight experience to assess and promulgate fiscal and other factors affecting OIR needs, in accordance with FM 3-01 and AR 71-9, Warfighting Capabilities Determination. Provide technical/functional SETA Contractor support forward assessing and providing strategic direction and assistance in mission-critical problems, policies, and procedures.
Facilitate planning and enhance coordination between CJTF-OIR CJ36, ASA(ALT), Program Executive Offices, Project/Program Offices, and external units as required, in accordance with FM 3-01 and JP 3-01, Joint Operations
Advise, coordinate, prepare, and conduct briefings for senior leaders, including General Officers (GOs) and Senior Executive Service (SES) members, on air and missile defense operations and systems.
Manage and coordinate mission support projects, taskings, actions, and programs for CJTF OIR CJ36, in accordance with FM 3-01 and AR 71-9. Respond to operational and administrative requirements established by CJTF OIR CJ36.
Qualifications:
Required:
Secret Security Clearance
Over five years’ experience in air and missile defense systems, program management, and acquisition development oversight
Be deployable throughout the CENTCOM Area of Operations (AOR)
Experience as an Army Captain (O3) 14A Air and Missile Defense Officer or other service equivalent
Strong knowledge of Army doctrine, including FM 3-01, FM 3-01.7, and AR 71-9.
Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Desired:
TS/SCI Security Clearance
Experience with program management tools and software.
Ability to articulate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
