Job Description

Project Context and Scope

In the framework of a Canadian fund project, "Jordanian Special Operation Forces (JORSOF) Female Accommodation Building (FAB)" IOM will be conducting a study on the operational benefits and long-term impact of providing female-specific accommodations and training facilities on the recruitment, inclusion, and retention of female soldiers in the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)/ JORSOF. The findings of the study will contribute to enhancing JORSOF's capacity to conduct security operations by integrating and promoting the participation of female soldiers.


The study will also focus on assessing how the project contributed to Jordanian efforts in the implementation of the United Nations Security Council resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security and objectives outlined in the Second Jordanian Action Plan (JONAP) for the implementation of UNSR 1325 for the period 2022–2025. In addition to human rights and rights-based approaches, in line with the UN Human Rights Due Diligence Policy (HRDDP). By adhering to this policy, the assessment will evaluate gender inclusivity and the alignment of females’ participation in the armed forces with human rights standards.
