Job Summary:
Etlad Engineering Consultant LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer with expertise in renovation, structural strengthening, steel structures, and restoration. The ideal candidate must be registered with the Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) and have experience working in the Gulf Region (UAE or KSA) . The role involves designing, analyzing, and overseeing structural projects to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead structural design and analysis for renovation, strengthening, and restoration projects.
- Provide technical expertise on steel structures, concrete reinforcement, and structural retrofitting.
- Conduct site inspections, assessments, and prepare structural reports.
- Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, international standards, and JEA regulations.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors for project execution.
- Review and approve structural drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Recommend innovative and cost-effective structural solutions.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
Skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Registered with the Jordan Engineers Association (JEA).
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on renovation, strengthening, and restoration.
- Strong knowledge of steel structures, reinforced concrete, and retrofitting techniques.
- Experience working in the UAE & KSA construction sector with a solid understanding of local regulations.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work within deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in structural retrofitting or seismic strengthening is a plus.
- Familiarity with Dubai Municipality (DM) and Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) approval processes.
