Job Description

PURPOSE


The role of “Senior Manager for Levant Marketing Services” is a position in Visa’s NALP Marketing organization that will be responsible for managing and implementing Visa client marketing initiatives for the markets of Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon & Palestine. This is a pivotal role ensuring effectiveness of marketing strategy through Client partnerships spanning traditional & nontraditional players, issuers, and fintechs with the goal of achieving Visa’s business and brand objectives in this critical geographical cluster.


This role reports to the Head of Marketing Services Director for North Africa, Levant, & Pakistan.


SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Develop and implement strategic marketing and communication plans designed to meet client and market requirements in Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon & Palestine markets.
  • Contribute to developing deep client partnerships by providing marketing support including marketing analysis, insight development and campaign activities to assist clients to drive Visa portfolio growth
  • Pro-actively engage in client pitches to fast-track growth of MIK spend vs cash.
  • Manage the client marketing programs and funds from planning to execution and ensure a seamless marketing in kind process implementation
  • Deliver marketing insights & data capabilities to drive deep partnerships with clients including research, studies and best practice benchmarking through the Visa marketing community
  • Position Visa as marketing expert with key clients sharing in-depth understanding and analysis of payments industry, regulation, consumer trends and competition
  • Influence and gain the support of client banks to participate in Visa marketing activities, negotiating the financial terms of their participation
  • Lead planning and delivery on all Marketing VIK (Value-in-Kind) plans and targets by effectively partnering with external agency partners
  • Support the activation of global sponsorship and product platform initiatives with clients.
  • Establish strong partnerships with internal teams to assist in the delivery of marketing initiatives within the geographies.
  • Effectively manage all stakeholders responsible for the successful implementation of any activity including agencies, suppliers, merchants, clients, and others as appropriate.
  • Work cross-functionally to deliver E2E integrated VIK opportunities to clients (VCA, products).
  • Identify opportunities in the market through tracking of key payment trends, cardholder behaviour, and evaluate them to create strategic recommendations for future business propositions
  • Scale MIK opportunities and best practices across markets and champion learning from other regions and/or markets to re-apply locally.
  • Review implementation of plans on an ongoing basis and provide guidance to external and internal stakeholders to ensure that KPIs are achieved
  • Manage the admin work and processes related to client contracting.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.



Qualifications

The successful candidate should have significant work experience in a multinational with a combination of strengths in strategic oversight and executional excellence. He/she should also have significant experience in marketing with strong negation skills and bias towards delivering successful marketing programs.

• Demonstrated track record in the development and implementation of integrated campaigns as well as marketing consultancy and agency management
• Innovative thinker with a track record of delivery and proven ability to manage several projects concurrently and see them through from conception to conclusion
• Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills at all stakeholder levels
• Marketing Commercial acumen & ability to understand key P&L drivers to build effective business cases.
• Marketing data familiarity and Influencing skills are critical.
• Project management skills
• Client relationship and management skills as well as experience managing high level leadership stakeholders
• Merchant and/or partner relationship and management skills
• Pro-active with strong self-management skills including demonstrable drive and energy
• Multicultural sensitivity and interpersonal relationship management skills are essential including the ability to work effectively as part of a decentralized marketing function and a multi-functional hub office team
• Analytical thinker, team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities
• Naturally optimistic and energized
• Candidate must be open to travel as relevant within Visa safety and security policies

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
• Arabic and English speaker
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in business or a related field with a marketing foundation, MBA preferred
• Multi-national marketing experience is an advantage, ideally in payments industry, consumer cards sector.
• Excellent performance in marketing management (minimum 10-12 years’ experience in Marketing)
