Smoking Cessation Clinic Coordinator

Responsibilities and Duties:

Coordinates the delivery of smoking cessation services throughout the different clinics and Participates in smoking cessation clinics activities (data collection, data entry, phone calls follow up, etc.). Follows the clinic appointment; scheduling, cancellation and rescheduling to all clients at smoking cessation clinics. Provides direct, professional care to all clients at smoking cessation clinics including counseling in clinics and in PFT lab with the patient referred from the new patients’ clinic. Follow the fall prevention and management policy and procedure. Report the critical tests results according to the policy. Educates patients, relatives, community member and health care professionals about the risks of tobacco product use and benefits of quitting. Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing to diverse group of staff, patients and external contacts. Assists in compiling information for required research, projects …etc. when needed. Reviews reports and other documents for completeness, accuracy and content. Participates in outreach activities to spread the awareness of tobacco hazards. Provides support to the unit by assisting in the daily office needs and managing the general administrative activities. Set up and calibrate equipment. Inspect, clean, maintain the PFT lab equipment to ensure that the equipment is functioning efficiently and safely. Explain the test procedure to the patient before performing the test. Performing daily analyzer calibration and test according to standard. Quality checks monitoring. Follow infection control policies and procedure. Follow the PFT and CPET policies. Performs any other related duties as required by the direct supervisor. This job may require working variable shift hours as determined by the department's needs.

Education & Professional Experience:

Bachelor Degree in Allied Health Science. Two years’ minimum experience preferably in health care field. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent in English language skills.
