Siraj Field Associate, Al MafraqJordan - Remote Title: Siraj Field Associates Location: Mafraq / Qasabat Al-Mafraq The Near East Foundation (NEF) is seeking candidates for a Siraj Field Associates to be based in Mafraq / Qasabat Al-Mafraq , under the Advancing the social and economic well-being of vulnerable refugee and Jordanian women, funded by the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM).Near East Foundation Job Announcement Unit: Program Support Reports to: Livelihoods Specialist Type: full-time Travel: Yes, 50% of time NEF is a non-profit international development organization that has supported livelihoods recovery and community-based economic development in the Middle East, Africa, and Caucasus since 1915. NEF draws on local teams, experience, and partnerships in these regions to create community-led solutions to improve livelihoods and local governance among conflict and crisis-affected groups, while maintaining neutrality and ensuring inclusiveness in our approach. Working through a network of country offices and local partners, NEF has operations in ten countries: Armenia, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Mali, Morocco, Palestine, Sudan, South Sudan, and Syria. Our programs are organized around three pillars: Inclusive Economic Development, Climate-resilient Development, and Stabilization and Peacebuilding. Main duties include: Supervise and evaluate activities of program and the field work; Supervise and manage a team of volunteers to ensure project activities are implemented as outlined in proposal. Assign tasks to staff members and Volunteers and provide follow up and guidance. Contribute to establishing and implementing operational work plans, setting clear targets and activity plans per activities/trainings in direct coordination with head office and partners. Maintain continuous line of communication with country-office on daily basis. Ensure smooth exchange of information respectively between partners and volunteers’ program, beneficiaries, and the community. Provide technical support as needed. Contribute in ongoing field assessments and data collection and entry as/when required; Ensure that data is accurately collected, entered, and shared on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis; Provide information and advice for beneficiaries and walk ins in the Siraj center on existing services; Coordinate with the protection officer and protection support officer regarding referral cases and protection activities (if required) under a direct supervision from the livelihood specialist Collaborate with partners and other agencies when required. Compile relevant information on available services in assigned location Plan, coordinate and facilitate distribution of materials when needed; Maintain records, reports problems or concerns to country office and partners; Support other project activities as needed. Required Qualifications: University degree in Social Sciences or any other relevant degree. 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role with an INGO Strong capacity in reporting. Strong understanding of the project management cycle. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office. Good team spirit. Familiar with the cultural, socio-economic and political environment in the relevant districts. Position Criteria: Builds and maintains effective relationships, with team, colleagues, other members and external partners and supporters. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills. NEF will accept a rolling application until the position is filled.
