Job Description

The Gate Guard is responsible for guarding and securing the gate point with precision and effectiveness by monitoring and

protecting the company and its properties. This includes overseeing entrances and exits, directing vehicle movement, and

continuously observing the surroundings. The Guard ensures compliance with security policies and regulations and

collaborates with the Security Officer when necessary. They respond quickly in emergency situations and accurately record

security observations. The Guard works as part of the security team to collectively ensure the security of the gate point.

  • Constantly monitor the gate point to ensure the facility's safety.
  • Direct vehicle movement and ensure safe entry and exit.
  • Keep the company's entrance clear of vehicle parking.
  • Inspect vehicles during entry and exit.
  • Check the licenses of vehicles and drivers.
  • Inspect vehicles using explosive detection devices.
  • Inspect vehicles using mirrors and manual systems.
  • Responsible for conducting body searches and inspecting materials.
  • Verify employee entry and exit stamps from the factory and accommodation.
  • Inspect employees during entry and exit from the accommodation.
  • Receive papers from suppliers and deliver them to the internal weighbridge employee.
  • Monitor the surroundings and be alert to any unusual activities.
  • Report any observations to the security supervisor.
  • Assist all employees with evacuation procedures during emergencies.
  • Assist and facilitate the entry of security devices and civil defense vehicles in emergencies.
  • Maintain discipline, uphold order, and adhere to security policies.
  • Handle emergencies or incidents and take appropriate immediate action.
  • Coordinate with the security officer when issues require security intervention.
  • Comply with specified laws and security policies.
  • Regularly record any security observations or unusual incidents.
  • Collaborate with other guards to ensure collective gate security.
  • Monitor and track the entry and exit of individuals and vehicles to and from the company accurately

This job will be through contracting with a contracting company working at the site of Jordan Bromine Company and not by contracting directly with Jordan Bromine Company, and it will be on a fixed-term contract.

Skills

Educational Qualifications:

· High School.

 

Professional Certifications and Training:

· Recognized professional certifications in the field of security and safety.

· Weapon training.

· Self-defense training.

· Inspection training.

· Physical fitness.

 

Work Experience:

· 2-3 years of experience working in security and guarding in hazardous industrial facilities.

 

Required Knowledge:

· Personal protection skills and handling potential threats.

· Effective inspection skills and techniques for individuals and vehicles.

· Skills and techniques for safe arrest and body searches.

· Accurate monitoring and observation: the ability to monitor the environment and detect changes or

irregularities accurately.

· Critical thinking: the ability to analyze situations, assess risks logically, and make informed decisions.

· Effective communication: the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with colleagues, visitors, and

external parties.

· Stress management: the ability to act effectively and make quick, informed decisions in emergencies or

escalating situations.

· Technological proficiency: the ability to use security systems and monitoring technologies effectively.

· Social interaction: the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and the public, and deal with

different personalities.

· Investigation and analysis: the ability to investigate security incidents, collect evidence, and analyze it

accurately.

· Compliance: the ability to adhere to security policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

· Emergency response: the ability to act quickly and effectively in emergency situations and take appropriate

actions.
