Context



Terre des hommes Lausanne (Tdh), the largest Swiss organization dedicated to children’s rights, is reorganizing its organizational model to better support children and young people in vulnerable situations across the thirty countries where it operates.
In Tdh’s new organizational model, the headquarters will serve as a center of expertise to act effectively in favor of respecting, protecting, and promoting children’s rights. It will also ensure global oversight, strategy, policies, monitoring, and compliance, as well as provide enlightened leadership.

Mission



Monitors, analyzes, and reports on performance indicators related to risk management (security & safety) at the regional level. Promotes and ensures the application of global frameworks, standards, processes, and tools related to risk management (security & safety) in the region. Ensures the implementation of risk prevention actions (security & safety) and provides methodological support in managing critical incidents. Manages risks (security & safety) at the regional office level. Strengthens the capabilities of teams to address issues related to risk management (security & safety) at the regional level, provides team training, and supports the training of partners. Supports country offices in all matters related to risk management (security & safety). Encourages and coordinates inter-country exchanges. Ensures the training of Tdh staff members in Security and Safety. Reports on contextual development/analysis to the Regional Director and security staff and focal point(s) in country offices. In coordination with the security staff and focal points at country offices level & the risks specialists at HQ level, contributes to develop required security and safety documents and tools. Maintains and develops a relevant network to support in gathering information and context analysis in the MENA region and in the countries of interventions. Any other activity related to Security and Safety requested by the Regional Director.

Reports relevant information to headquarters in a timely manner to contribute to overall risk management (security and safety). Informs headquarters in a timely manner of any crises at the regional level based on established frameworks and procedures. Organizes security briefing for Tdh regional staff.

Required Conditions



Education/Qualifications



Degree: Graduation /Bachelor Degree

Experience



Significant experience in: Security Management, at least 5 years of experience at a security key position with an international organization. Regional Experience of MENA will be an added advantage.

Languages



Mandatory written and oral languages: Arabic and English , French will be an added advantage.
Preferred languages: Arabic and English . French will be an added advantage.

Computer Skills



Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Objectives



The objectives for the upcoming period must be filled out on the performance review form with the line supervisor and in collaboration with functional leaders.

Based in Amman with frequent travels as per need in the MENA Region.
