Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, project scope, quality planning, and resource allocation.
• Use planning software such as Primavera or MS Project to create and maintain schedules and resource allocations.
• Conduct feasibility studies and assist in defining the project scope.
• Collaborate with management to develop detailed timelines and identify key milestones for the project.
• Analyze project activity specifications and drawings, determining interdependencies among project tasks to prepare time, material, and labor estimates.
• Coordinate with technical teams to align project objectives with technical requirements.
• Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines.
• Prepare progress reports and present them to management and stakeholders.
• Integrate environmental, health, and safety factors into the project planning.
• Communicate with procurement and supply chain to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks for the project and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Quality Planning: Ensure the project adheres to specified quality standards.
• Advanced Analysis: Use analytical techniques like Critical Path Analysis and risk assessment techniques to improve scheduling.
• Monitor and evaluate project progress against planned schedules.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze data to evaluate the overall project progress.
• Work with the cost engineer to determine the financial needs of the project and forecast future costs.
• Work closely with the cost engineer to identify any budget deviations and create plans to address these discrepancies.
Educational Qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
Professional Certifications and Training:
• Recognized professional certifications in project management, such as a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, are considered an added advantage.
• Specialized certifications in the use of planning software, such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
Work Experience
• 5-7 years of experience.
Required Knowledge:
• Comprehensive understanding of project management principles and best practices.
• Deep knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to construction and infrastructure projects.
