JOB OVERVIEW:
Under the direct supervision of the Head of Programs at the Anera Jordan office, and with technical
support from the Project Officer, and other team members, the Project Assistant will be responsible for
providing administrative and operational support to Anera’s projects in the field.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in planning and coordinating project activities, including training sessions, workshops, and
community events.
• Ensure the timely distribution of project resources, such as materials, tools, and financial support to
beneficiaries.
• Support in Collecting and maintaining accurate beneficiary data, including demographic information,
attendance, and progress records.
• Assist in preparing regular progress reports, and success stories, to share with the direct supervisor.
• Act as a liaison between the organization and refugee communities to foster trust and ensure program
participation.
• Conduct community outreach to inform refugees about available livelihood opportunities and
services.
• Facilitate focus group discussions, needs assessments, and feedback sessions with beneficiaries.
• Coordinate logistics for field visits, donor missions, stakeholder meetings, and capacity-building
activities.
• Accurately prepare attendance sheets for volunteers promptly.
• Assist the MEAL Coordinator with completing post and post-post surveys and any needed task.
• Call beneficiaries to invite them to participate in program services.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
WORK CONDITION:
This position is in the areas of operation in the field.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Relevant higher national diploma or university degree or other advanced technical qualifications.
• Approximately 2 years of experience managing programs with refugee populations, and vulnerable
communities in Jordan.
• Demonstrated experience in project implementation and logistics or relevant fields.
• Strong written and oral communication skills (in English and Arabic).
• Competent in Windows, MS Office programs, emails, and relevant database applications.
• Able to work under pressure, able to multitask, excellent team player, and able to work in a
multinational environment
