Production Designer

This role is part of the APCO Production House focused on production design work for APCO new business, corporate marketing and client projects. The Production Designer will work closely with creative and art directors and other colleagues from throughout APCO globally and .Pomelo, APCO’s creative practice, to create high quality and consistent production design outputs for a broad array of uses.

Responsibilities

• At the direction of APCO and .Pomelo creative and art directors, creates visual design outputs including layouts, resizing, mockups, custom diagrams, social media post design, data visualizations, PowerPoint layout and formatting and other visual treatments based on existing creative concepts or directions.
• Works with internal colleagues to review and recommend design treatments and options to achieve articulated objectives.
• Creates visual representations of concepts and ideas.
• Create clear content structure and categorization within design implementation.
• Has strong design and visual skills with knowledge of key design software including the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Translates business needs, business requirements, and technical capabilities into designs that are visually exciting, audience-centered and emotionally engaging.
• Identifies problems and executes effective solutions.

Requirements

• BA/BFA in design, or strong portfolios showcasing your creative thinking process as well as visually compelling, practical and emotionally engaging design work
• 2-3+ years of public relations, advertising, branding or similar consulting experience
• Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
• Keen ability to take criticism and incorporate feedback to make your designs better
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude to pursue atypical ideas that inspire action
• The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• ‘Solution’ driven creative skills
