Job Description

To lead and develop IKEA retailing in the local market, ensuring alignment with the IKEA vision, business idea, and human resource principles, as well as the IKEA Group Direction: Growing IKEA Together, the focus will be on strengthening our competitive position by building a strong IKEA Brand and increasing our customer base to grow market share. This involves creating and implementing a retail business plan that integrates local priorities with national strategies, ensuring a coherent and consistent message to customers and consumers. Additionally, serving as the IKEA spokesperson and ambassador in the local market will be essential in maintaining strong community engagement and brand representation. 


Key Assignments:


  • Ensure a seamless, integrated, and positive customer experience across all channels (physical store, digital, and other relevant touchpoints). Focus on customer questions like "Is there something for me?" "Is it worth it?" "Can I trust IKEA?" across the omnichannel environment. 


  • Develop and deliver a sustainable plan for growth, visitation, and profitability, incorporating omnichannel strategies to enhance the customer journey. 


  • Position the IKEA Brand as the leader in life at home in the local market by ensuring the IKEA Concept is implemented in a consistent manner and continually shows the depth and width of the IKEA product range through relevant, affordable, functional, inspiring and sustainable home furnishing solutions in all media and channels. 


  • Connect the IKEA offer with the IKEA knowledge of peoples' life at home in the market and use the strength of the IKEA Brand to make changes visible to customers. 


  • Lead the market in a lean and simple way by using the foundations of the IKEA Concept as proven solutions while at the same time challenging the IKEA organization to improve ways of working in order to identify and develop new business opportunities and commercial potential. 


  • Live the IKEA values and nurture a strong and living IKEA culture that inspires co-workers to extraordinary achievements in the market. 


  • Identify and develop the many talents within the market to secure succession planning. 


  • Ensure that the market team works ethically and in compliance with internal regulations and external laws including legislation relating to risk, environment, health and safety 



Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years leadership experience as a unit manager / deputy manager / market manager preferably in a complex multichannel / omni channel environment. 


  • Ability to drive a high-volume business and the acumen to drive P&L results 


  • Proven track record of developing and leading leaders in a people-centric organization 


  • Proven record of meeting agreed budgets and goals and working on plans covering a timeline of several years 
    Proven experience of being a valuable contributor to customer satisfaction and business unit results.
