Local Agriculture or Water Resource Management Expert (Jordan)
Background
iMMAP Inc. is looking for Meteorologist / Climatologist to contribute to the building of a project aiming at developing a drought monitoring and forecasting system for Jordan.
Description of Duties
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, support the project team in the design and set up of a drought monitoring and forecasting system for Jordan. Within the team, the Local Agriculture or Water Resource Management Expert will support the assessment of the Ministry of Water capacities, support the design of the platform and the capacity building of relevant MoW staff. He/she will support in building contextual knowledge of relevant institutions in Jordan and contribute to relevant liaison efforts.
Requirements
At least 15 years of professional experience in the agriculture and/or water resources management in Jordan At least Master’s degree in hydrology, agriculture, engineering or related fields In-depth knowledge of the institutional landscape in Jordan* Work experience in relevant projects in Jordan
