ROLE TYPE: Full-time, FTC


SALARY RANGE: JOD 15,000 – JOD 18,000 per annum (based on experience and qualifications).

Purpose of the Role


The IT Systems and Application Support Officer plays a key role in enhancing ARK’s IT capabilities by providing technical expertise, system administration, and application support to ensure the efficient operation of IT services across the organisation. The post holder contributes to the development and maintenance of business applications, supports cloud-based IT systems, and assists with SharePoint, Office 365, PowerPlatform, and Power BI administration. Additionally, they provide first-line IT support, user training, and cybersecurity guidance to improve digital literacy and IT security awareness within the organisation. 


Working closely with the IT Manager, the role supports IT operations, fosters collaboration across departments, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance ARK’s technology infrastructure and service delivery. Success in this role is measured by system reliability, user satisfaction, efficiency improvements in IT processes, and strengthened IT security and compliance. 


What you'll be doing


Application Development & Automation: 


  • Develop and Maintain Applications: Use PowerPlatform and PowerAutomate to design and implement solutions that streamline business processes. 
  • Debugging and Support: Troubleshoot issues in existing applications, ensuring high availability and user satisfaction.
  • Testing and Deployment: Conduct testing and gather stakeholder feedback before deploying internal applications. 
  • Data Management & Reporting: Enhance Power BI reporting to support data-driven decision-making. 

System Administration & Technical Support:


  • SharePoint Administration: Build, maintain, and improve SharePoint sites to enhance document management and team collaboration. 
  • Office 365 & Cloud Services: Administer Office 365, Intune, and Entra ID to ensure smooth operations and security. 
  • General IT Support: Provide first-line troubleshooting, focusing on cloud systems, with a reasonable understanding of physical devices such as printers and laptops. 
  • User Account Management: Manage access rights, permissions, and system policies to maintain security and compliance. 

Employee Training & IT Support:


  • User Training: Lead training sessions and create user guides to help employees maximise IT tools and services. 
  • Technical Guidance: Act as an internal IT advisor, helping teams optimise their use of PowerPlatform, SharePoint, and other systems. 
  • Improving IT Communication: Enhance communication within the IT department to ensure clear and effective service delivery. 

Cybersecurity & Compliance:


  • Threat Monitoring & Incident Response: Assist in monitoring cybersecurity risks and respond to incidents to protect organisational data. 
  • Policy Implementation: Enforce cybersecurity policies and ensure compliance with IT best practices. 
  • Data Protection: Support IT in implementing data security measures and access control policies. 

IT Process Documentation & Continuous Improvement:


  • Maintain Documentation: Keep detailed records of IT processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge-sharing and compliance. 
  • Stay Updated on IT Trends: Continuously improve IT systems by researching emerging technologies and best practices. 
  • Process Optimisation: Identify inefficiencies in IT workflows and propose automation and process improvements.
