IP Network Planning Senior Engineer

Job Brief

Responsible for executing capacity planning and managing the entire IP product life cycle, including maintaining comprehensive inventories related to IP network configurations and architecture. This role involves generating detailed reports to ensure systems are operating within safe margins, following up on the implementation of new projects, and coordinating with operations and planning teams to ensure full integration of plans. Additionally, the position involves managing Umniah ISP’s security solutions, enhancing network security, routing, and switching performance, and continuously optimizing the network for improved efficiency and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and oversee MDS Customer Services (MPLS), manage and maintain the Umniah Core/MDS Network, and deliver second-level support.
• Maintain the ISP environment to improve the performance and achieve 99.95% monthly availability of the network and within the defined SLA
• Introduce new features and elements to the network in addition to provide an evaluation for the implemented features.
• Control & monitor spare parts and handle data management
• Maintain network design and product life cycle & Handle capacity planning calculation and maintain Systems’ availability including (IGW, IGR, FWs, CGNAT, BRASs, …etc) and other related NW elements.
• Support operational teams and other planning entities in term of network perspective & Monitor and continuously support Umniah and customers IP Core Network cases and requests
• Implement and manage Umniah ISP security solutions
• Handle IP Projects and reporting
• Conduct formal performance evaluation process for the subordinates to optimize workplace productivity
• Manage economic, efficient and effective budget plan and control in alignment with the department and Umniah’s strategy.
