Your Impact
The
Intermediate DevOps Engineer role is based in Amman, Jordan working in a hybrid model and reports to the Head of Software Engineering. As an
Intermediate DevOps Engineer, you will play a vital role in revolutionizing our cutting-edge systems and applications, particularly focusing on delivering scalable, high-performance solutions that redefine our user experience and streamline our workflows.
What You'll Do
Design and maintain secure, scalable, and hybrid infrastructure solutions that integrate on-premises and cloud resources.
Optimize resource configuration to ensure high performance and secure connectivity.
Manage core infrastructure services such as identity management, messaging, and data storage.
Develop, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless, automated deployment across multiple environments.
Promote consistency and speed in releases through automated workflows.
Continuously monitor and troubleshoot system performance, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal connectivity.
Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues, ensuring high reliability.
Enforce security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance with industry standards.
Implement automated backup solutions for critical data and systems, ensuring disaster recovery preparedness.
Collaborate with teams to test backup integrity and disaster recovery processes.
Build automated solutions to improve infrastructure reliability and efficiency.
Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting systems using tools like AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Ensure system resilience through proactive monitoring and maintenance of key infrastructure components.
Collaborate with development teams to align infrastructure design with software architecture best practices.
Integrate hybrid cloud solutions to ensure seamless operation across multiple environments.
Adhere to the quality standards and safety procedures as per the company guidelines and local regulations.
Take appropriate actions in relation to any hazards and work-related issues, and escalate as needed, in order to ensure prompt and effective resolution.
Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by the line manager, in order to ensure the fulfillment of organizational objectives.
What To Bring
Essential Qualifications: 2-4 years of experience in a DevOps role with hands-on AWS experience.
Proficiency in
AWS core services (EC2, ECS, Amplify, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, Glue, and IAM).
Strong knowledge of
Linux/Unix systems administration and networking concepts.
Familiarity with
containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Hands-on experience with
CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bitbucket, or AWS CodePipeline).
Knowledge of databases and caching systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis).
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with hybrid cloud infrastructures.
+ Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
+ Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
+ Proficiency in
scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
+ Experience with
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
