Information Security Officer - Senior SOC Analyst

Bank of Jordan, a reputable financial institution in Jordan, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Security Officer to join our team. As the Information Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data, while managing and enhancing the bank's information security program.

At Bank of Jordan, safeguarding our customers' sensitive information and protecting against cyber threats is of utmost importance. As the Information Security Officer, your responsibilities will include developing and implementing information security policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, managing security incidents, and providing guidance and training to employees.

• • Monitor and analyze the bank's security infrastructure for potential threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents in real-time.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents, including conducting root cause analysis and implementing containment, eradication, and recovery measures.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of network traffic, logs, alerts, and events to detect advanced persistent threats and anomalies.
  • Develop and fine-tune detection rules, SIEM use cases, and alerts to enhance threat detection capabilities.
  • Coordinate with the incident response team to manage and resolve security incidents and provide post-incident reports.
  • Conduct regular threat-hunting activities to proactively identify potential risks and unknown threats in the environment.
  • Maintain and update documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), playbooks, and incident response guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other IT and security teams to implement security controls, enhancements, and mitigation measures.
  • Stay updated with the latest security threats, trends, and emerging technologies to keep the SOC capabilities current.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior SOC analysts, fostering continuous skill development and knowledge sharing.
