PURPOSE OF POSITION


 The HR Officer will support the HR functions for ARK's operations in Jordan, working closely with the HR Operations Manager to provide effective and compliant HR services. This role involves handling day-to-day HR administration, recruitment, and ensuring compliance with Jordanian labour laws and ARK’s HR policies.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


 Recruitment and Selection:


  • Coordinate recruitment efforts for the Jordan office, including drafting job descriptions, advertising vacancies, screening applications, and shortlisting candidates.
  • Assist in organizing and preparing for candidate interviews.
  • Support the drafting and issuance of employee contracts, ensuring compliance with Jordanian labour laws.
  • Maintain an up-to-date Job Description (JD) Library for the Jordan office.

HR Administration, Systems, and Compliance:


  • Ensure that employee records, including contracts, insurance, and performance evaluations, are up-to-date and compliant with ARK and Jordanian legal requirements.
  • Monitor contract end dates and support the renewal or termination process in line with local regulations.
  • Assist with payroll preparation and ensure that all salary, benefits, and deductions are processed accurately and on time.
  • Administer medical insurance records and other employee benefits in accordance with local laws and company policies.
  • Assist in maintaining ARK's HR management systems, ensuring that all employees are trained on the system’s usage, including leave applications and timesheet submission.
  • Provide regular updates on HR compliance and legal requirements, and assist with internal HR audits.

Onboarding and Offboarding:


  • Coordinate onboarding for new hires, ensuring that they are provided with the necessary resources and information to integrate smoothly into the organization.
  • Manage offboarding processes, ensuring the return of company property, conducting exit interviews, and liaising with the Finance Department for final payments.

Employee Relations and Support:


  • Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, payroll inquiries, and labour law matters.
  • Assist with the employee performance management process, including probation reviews.
  • Provide guidance to employees on HR queries, including leave policies, benefits, and other administrative matters.

Compliance with Jordanian Labor Law:


  • Ensure that ARK’s HR operations in Jordan are compliant with local labour laws and regulations, including social security, health insurance, and tax regulations.
  • Liaise with legal and governmental authorities as needed to handle issues related to employee registrations, visas, and work permits.
