What we are looking for
A Human Resource professional with experience in the same and or similar position within the humanitarian sector. Demonstration of leadership and strong people management skills.
Experience developing HR strategies and action plans, and great in managing and engaging effectively with key external and internal stakeholders.

What you will do
Oversee, manage, develop and strengthen all HR and Admin functions to provide efficient and effective Human Resources and Administration support to the NRC Country Programme, Jordan. The role has a special focus on effective recruitment, staff development, and training, while ensuring digital transformation of HR processes and promoting a culture of inclusion and wellbeing.
In this position you will:
- Contribute to Country Organization’s strategy and the Action Plans through various HR initiatives.
- Implement and optimize NRC's HR systems and procedures at the national level.
- Ensure adherence to Employment Guidelines, DEI initiatives, and other NRC policies.
- Maintain compliance with Jordan labour law and data protection regulations.
- Conduct regular HR analytics and prepare data-driven reports for decision-making.
- Lead and develop the HR team at the country office, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide training and support for HR teams and staff with personnel management responsibilities
- Establish and maintain secure digital and physical personnel documentation systems.
- Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards and principles.
- Develop and implement employee wellbeing and mental health support programs.
- Support with business continuity planning for HR-related matters.

What you will bring
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a senior HR Manager in humanitarian/recovery contexts.
- Experience and knowledge of the Jordan context and the wider Middle East regional context.
- Experience managing HR systems supporting 200 + staff
- People management and leadership experience including external engagement with key stakeholders
- Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
What we offer:
- Duty station: Amman
- Contract: Initially end of December 2025 - Renewable
- Travel: 20% within the country.
- Salary/benefits: Grade 9 on NRC’s Jordan national salary scale, with accompanying terms and conditions
