King Hussein Cancer Center is seeking to hire the following vacancy:
Environmental Health Inspector
Duties and Responsibilities :
Developing and implementing standardized environmental and health practices at KHCC. Conducting investigation, surveillance for hazardous materials and waste management, potentially hazardous spill management, environmental permit management, and other material/event related risks. Monitoring & inspecting the degree of compliance at KHCC to required environmental, health, and safety standards. Preparing timely reports on all issues related to environmental and health aspects at KHCC. Monitoring the process of liquid waste storage, transportation and dismissal, in coordination with Ministry of Environment. Taking necessary measurements concerned to environmental safety and health related issues and maintaining detailed documentation of all these measurements. Responding to hospital’s code in-facility hazardous spill and performing required activities for this code, in coordination with all relevant stakeholders. Delivering training and education of KHCC personnel on environmental and health issues. Promoting incident prevention for the benefit of KHCC employees and visitors and patients. Maintaining an ongoing monitor on organizational risk within the areas of responsibility. Liaising and coordinating with the local and international bodies to provide all needs for related issues. Needs from these bodies include, but not limited to:
HACCP audit on KHCC Monitoring rodent control services Participating in tendering process for hazardous materials. Performing any related task as requested by the direct supervisor. This job may require working variable shift hours as determined by the department's needs.
Education and Professional Experience (essential minimum requirement):
Bachelor’s degree in health, environment, nutrition, or other related field. Two years of relevant experience. Ability to handle matters related to occupational environmental, health and safety procedures. Ability to handle matters related to environmental protection Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good command of English. Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
