Job Description
Reporting to the Electrician supervisor, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Executes regular inspections on lights, power outlets and all related electrical systems such as the distribution boards, substation etc… as per the electrical checklist.
- Attends maintenance and repair calls.
- Takes daily readings on the electric meters to evaluate consumption.
- Notes all required spare parts and consumable material and instructs the storekeeper of the requirements.
- Follows up and executes all the works assigned by the Engineering Supervisor.
- Executes all periodic preventive maintenance on all electrical distribution systems, lights, generator etc… as per the annual maintenance chart.
- Operates electrical equipment such as pumps, blowers, air handling units etc…
- Ensures a safe working environment for all technical staff.
- Fully complies with the energy conservation program.
- To provide courteous and professional service at all times.
- To maintain a positive and professional working relationship with your departmental colleagues, and all other departments.
- To have a complete understanding of and compliance with the companies policy relating to Fire & emergency, Hygiene & Grooming, and Health & Safety.
- To maintain a high standard of conduct, personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- To attend all training as requested by Management.
- Continuity and maintenance of standards for departmental operating equipment.
- Compliance with company regulations, policies and procedures.
- Compliance with departmental regulations, Policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School graduate, related technical or trades certification.
- At least 2 years’ experience as a service technician, preferably in the hospitality or hospital industry.
- Proficient in MV/LV repair and maintenance plus basic knowledge of one other building operations skill set.
- The ability to use all general repair tools, read shop drawings and specifications, make rough estimates of required materials.
- Comprehensive experience in operation & maintenance of electrical distribution systems, generator, the substation, transformers.
- Comprehensive experience in operation and maintenance automatic controls and low voltage systems.
