Education High School Diploma or GED POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): The Overseas Protective Operations-Training (OPO-T) Driving and Tactics Instructor is responsible for teaching a variety of courses and subjects related to Worldwide Protective Services (WPS) at an OCONUS location. This position will serve as a subject matter expert in cleared areas of expertise and will be responsible for providing training support in several critical capacities. This role requires strong instructional skills, practical experience in driving instruction and guard training services in areas of significant risk, and the ability to operate in dynamic environments.

Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):



Provide direct instruction in technical driving skills, to include threshold braking, ocular driving, right front seat driving, night familiarization, and barricade breaching Provide direct instruction of Vehicle Dynamics I, II and III Provide direct instruction on the importance of weight and balance, traction, and driver form Provide direct instruction on high center of gravity across multiple vehicle platforms Provide direct instruction on unimproved and off-road driving skills Provide direct instruction for identified guard force personnel, to include orientation, general and post orders, basic guard duties, emergency response, observation techniques, first aid, personnel recovery, vehicle searches, and physical security measures and screenings Plan daily training events Plan, coordinate, and conduct lecture, range, and practical exercise events Manage the firing range and supervise weapons qualifications and training Ensure that all equipment, weapons, ammunition, and materials are on-hand for training Ensure all training events are conducted in a safe and compliant manner Monitor student performance and provide one-on-one remedial training as required Ensure completion and accuracy of all course documentation requirements Support delivery of ERT/QRF, Tactical Skills, and Protective Operations instruction
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: This position requires prior government approval to work on the contract. Biographical Requirements and additional qualifications are as follows:
Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must possess a valid US Passport. Must possess a valid US Driver's License. Must possess verified documentation of all claimed experience to meet biographical requirements for government approval. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Personnel Security Clearance. Must demonstrate Level 3 English language proficiency. Must demonstrate cross-cultural sensitivity and a passion for teaching others. Must have successfully completed a medical first responder course (e.g. Red Cross FirstAid, TCCC, Combat Lifesaver, etc.) within the last three (3) years, or have the ability to successfully complete a medical first responder course prior to employment. Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of instructional driving experience. Must possess a graduation certificate from a government approved defensive driving course. Must possess a minimum of six (6) years of operational experience related to the areas of guard training instruction. Experience may be gained in the employment of any federal, state, local, provincial, or commercial entities providing armed protective services in an area of significant risk. Up to three (3) years of experience as an instructor in the topics related to the instructor responsibilities may be considered as a substitution towards the minimum operational experience. Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience fulfilling firearms instruction duties. Must attend and successfully complete Basic Field Firearms Officers Course and Instructor Development Course. Must possess no impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy in general, or to the country or countries assigned in the applicable TO.

Microsoft Suite proficiency
Training experience in one or more of the following subject areas: armed protective operations, tactical skills, tactical medicine, designated defensive marksmanship
