Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is seeking a Deputy Chief of Party for a potential 5-year Primary Health Care Activity program in Jordan. This project will include a package of interventions to strengthen biosecurity and safety, address antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and prevent and respond to emerging threats through building One Health capacities that incorporate linkages between human, animal, and environmental health. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
The DCOP/TD will provide technical leadership and steer the strategic direction for the project. S/he manages the technical aspects of the project’s scope of work and contributes significantly to the effective and timely implementation of the project.S/he will be responsible for providing leadership for integrated health program’s technical areas including:Global Health Security, Primary Health Care, and Health Systems Strengthening.S/he will support the COP, the DFA and M&E Director as part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The DCOP will oversee the Technical Leads in the field office.
S/he will be the main person to receive the evidence (from inside or outside the project), analyze it with support from the M&E director, and provide the COP with strategic choices.The DCOP/TDwill set a positive tone for the entire project and inspire technical staff to apply national and internationally accepted technical norms and standards and best practices for timely delivery of high-qualityservices. S/he will support the Chief of Party in the design, roll-out, and day-to-day management and implementation of interventions.
