About the job

As a Database Administrator (SQL) at Aspire, you will manage and maintain SQL databases, ensuring their performance, security, and reliability. You will design, implement, and optimize database solutions, leveraging your expertise in SQL querying, database management, and performance tuning. You will automate database tasks, integrate systems, and provide ongoing support and enhancements to ensure seamless functionality and optimal database performance.


What you’ll do
  • Design, implement, and maintain SQL database solutions, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Write efficient, testable SQL queries and scripts to support business processes and data management.
  • Integrate data from various back-end systems and applications, ensuring seamless data flow.
  • Collaborate with the project team to gather and refine database requirements based on technical and business needs.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive database documentation for schema, procedures, and workflows.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database-related issues across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Work with business analysts and stakeholders to ensure database solutions meet business requirements and performance expectations.
  • Optimize database performance through regular tuning, indexing, and query optimization techniques.













What you’ll need


  • 4+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or any IT-related field.
  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator specializing in SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar).
  • Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
  • Strong understanding of database architecture, replication, and high availability configurations.
  • Familiarity with database performance monitoring tools and techniques.
  • Experience with database security principles, including access controls and encryption.
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery tools and strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Awareness or knowledge of IT security best practices as defined by ISO / SOC or similar
