Bank of Jordan, a leading financial institution in Jordan, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Quality Analyst to join our team. We are looking for Juniors to support data governance initiatives by ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance. This role involves monitoring data quality, assisting with data cleansing, and collaborating with teams to enforce governance standards.
Responsibilities
Job Duties:
- Assist in developing a data quality strategy and policy that is in line with a bank’s goals and objectives and to evolving data landscape and domains.
- Ensure that the bank’s data quality standards are achieved.
- Define and document security rules for data classification and registration for both structured and unstructured data.
- Create and enforce data quality initiatives and oversee data quality remediation plan and processes.
- Monitor Data Quality KPIs for critical data elements (CDEs) across the bank.
- Maintenance of data quality standards during storage & processing of data & helping resolve any data quality issues raised by data consumers for their data domains.
- Identify stakeholders responsible for implementing relevant data quality rules and policies and ensure those rules and policies are implemented.
- Measure data quality metrics, analyze and certify data quality at a data category level to ensure data consistency within the bank.
- Evaluate, implement and manage Data Quality Health Index (DQHI) tool to track and manage data quality.
- Resolve data related issues including data quality issues, data definition & standards conflicts, and service level problems in coordination with data steward/stewardship.
- Communicate new DQ initiatives and data quality standards to the Data Council.
- Monitor data quality metrics continuously and proactively address any issues that arise.
- Investigate data quality problems, identify root causes, and work on corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Generate and present data quality reports to relevant teams and management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas needing improvement.
