Purpose of the Job

The Associate Manager - IT Ops position serves as a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and continual enhancement of the organization's IT infrastructure and systems. Reporting directly to the Global Head of IT Operations, this role entails leadership responsibilities, overseeing a team of IT professionals, and collaborating with various departments to support strategic objectives. The primary goal is to leverage a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence to optimize IT performance, enhance efficiency, reliability, and security, and align IT initiatives with organizational goals

Customer:


  • Serve as the main contact for stakeholders and vendors, fostering positive relationships and effective collaboration.
  • Communicate IT strategies and performance metrics to all organizational levels, ensuring alignment and engagement.

People:


  • Lead and mentor an IT team, driving high performance and professional growth.
  • Oversee hiring, training, and career development for engineers and specialists.

Operations:


  • Manage daily IT infrastructure operations, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Analyze and improve IT performance metrics, enhancing efficiency, security, and reliability.
  • Optimize IT processes to streamline operations and boost productivity.
  • Oversee IT projects, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality delivery.
  • Handle escalated IT incidents, ensuring thorough documentation and resolution.
  • Lead tier 2 technical support, resolving issues across various platforms.
  • Direct the design and management of monitoring solutions for IT systems.

Financial Results:


  • Ensure IT operations comply with regulations and best practices.
  • Mitigate IT-related risks to protect assets, data, and reputation.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for services.
  • Contribute to IT budget development, optimizing resources and cost-effectiveness.
  • Allocate resources to support IT initiatives, maximizing ROI.


Job Responsibilities - Experience and Education

Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field.


7+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.


Strong technical background with expertise in network infrastructure, systems administration, and IT service management.


Proven leadership abilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.


Solid project management skills, with experience leading IT projects from initiation to completion.


Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to IT operations, security, and compliance.


Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CCNA) are a plus.


Strong ability to work with remote teams
