This position will support Linxon MEA’s Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) business. The role reports to the Head of Legal and Contract Management for Linxon MEA. We are looking for a law or business graduate, fresh or with 2 years of experience, either with a law firm or as in-house lawyer working for or in EPC Industry environment.
The ideal candidate will: (i) advise clients in connection with the negotiation and drafting of EPC contracts for utility grid infrastructure projects and (ii) managing and resolving commercial/legal claims related to such projects. The successful candidate will provide the MEA region business unit with advice on all aspects of its EPC business.
Support and provide advice to Linxon in all legal and commercial matters, but primarily in the areas of sales/procurement contracting, claims management, and dispute resolution. Research the licensing requirements applicable to Linxon’s business, advise Linxon of such requirements, and support the business in obtaining and maintaining such licensure for bids and projects in various states. Analyze contracts considering corporate guidelines and policies as well as the commercial and legal risks material to project stakeholders. Supporting sales/tender teams in the negotiating and drafting of EPC agreements. Advising supply chain management in connection with negotiation/drafting of key supplier subcontracts Providing training with respect to internal Linxon regulations as well as legal or commercial concepts important to Linxon business interests. Support Linxon’s MEA integrity officer with respect to the management of integrity matters and administration of integrity training to Linxon employees. Provide legal advice and opinions on risks and related commercial issues. Participate in the negotiation process of various contracts with clients, joint ventures, subcontractors, and suppliers. Interpret laws, decrees, and any other document of a legal nature, ensuring that the interests of the corporation are adequately protected. Participate in the application and follow up of the corporations’ policies, procedures, and internal rules.

Experience and Education Required:



LLB and or MBA from an accredited school, LLM is preferred. Member in good standing of a bar association. Excellent proficiency in English, Arabic and proficiency in any other language is a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must. Experience supporting utility construction projects or clients engaged in heavy industrial manufacturing (particularly power system products) is a big plus. Must be capable of working as part of a small close-knit team in a demanding, fast-paced, multilingual, and multidisciplinary environment. Experience implementing sophisticated communication plans for the purposes of achieving strategic company objectives. Self-motivated leader who can be flexible in the development of commercially practical solutions. Comfortable preparing and delivering high-quality legal advice within expedited time frames. Availability occasionally for travel to project sites and customer offices in the MEA, if required
