As the
Computer Systems Analyst II (VTC) , you will provide assistance in all aspects of network management from network design through implementation and the maintenance of upgrading existing networks. Analyze, design, specify, document and implement communication system requirements to support the distributed functionality of a software engineering environment. Maintain a broad knowledge of network communications and local area network/wide area network (LAN/WAN) operation and has a demonstrated ability to independently work on complex assignments.
ESSETNIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Develops plans for automated information systems from project inception to conclusion. Analyzes user interfaces, maintain hardware and software performance tuning, analyze workload and usage, maintain interfaces with outside systems, analyze downtimes, analyze proposed system modifications, upgrades and new COTS. Analyzes the problem and the information to be processed. Defines the problem and develops system requirements and program specifications. Coordinates closely with programmers to ensure proper implementation of program and system specifications. Develops, in conjunction with functional users, system alternative solutions. Sets up and maintains equipment for audio and video conferencing and teleconferencing meeting needs Provides support to engineers of site VTC and Conference Room systems such as scheduling VTC with external sites, configuring rooms to meet requirements for scheduled conferences. Performs video capturing and transfer video to a media streaming server. Troubleshoots equipment and network configurations.
Work Hours: 84 hours per week
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree or 3 – 5 years of current and continuous experience in the field of Video Teleconferencing, audio, and video systems Must have two years experience scheduling VTC meetings, events, or rooms; ensure the rooms are operational prior to any meetings or events, and provide assistance as necessary. Must have two years experience utilizing the Cisco TMS system Must have strong customer support/service skills and the ability to respond to changes in a fluid workplace environment
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
Possess a valid and current U.S. Passport and Driver’s License
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Demonstrated knowledge of the Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (TMS) management system Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Ability to brief high-ranking military officials Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications Cross-trained in VTC Audio & Visual Technician and Scheduler support Ability to travel and support other sites around the CJOA and SWA Strong customer support/service skills and the ability to respond to changes in a fluid workplace environment
PHYISCAL DEMANDS / WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Must have the ability to wear personal protective equipment, including protective mask, ballistic helmet, body armor, and chemical/biological protective garments Medically/Physically fit for deployment with U.S. Military Forces outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) under the provisions of USCENTCOM Medical Standards
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Active Top Secret SCI Required
