The Business Development Center (BDC) in Amman is seeking a dynamic and creative Communication Officer to join our team! Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Content Creation & Storytelling: Develop engaging and creative content for a variety of communication channels, including social media, newsletters, websites, and press materials.
- Donor & Stakeholder Engagement: Assist with communication efforts targeted at donors, partners, and key stakeholders, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of information.
- Social Media Management: Manage and grow BDC’s presence on key platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
- Visual Storytelling: Use photography and design skills to create visually compelling content that aligns with BDC’s brand and mission.
- Event Support: Assist with the planning and execution of communications for BDC events, webinars, and workshops.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across different departments to align communication strategies with organizational goals.
Marketing (50%)- Assist in implementing marketing campaigns across channels, including social media, print, and online platforms.
- Conduct preliminary market research to inform targeted outreach and assess marketing needs for different audiences.
- Coordinate with internal teams to understand campaign goals, deadlines, and resource needs.
- Assist in selecting and utilizing social media platforms, and support online marketing initiatives.
- Track and report on campaign performance metrics, compiling insights and areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on trends in digital marketing, web analytics, and SEO to support content optimization.
- Help manage budget allocations within assigned marketing campaigns.
- Handel YouTube and other social media tools, such as Facebook, and X uploading content commenting and managing client relations.
Communications (20%)- Develop and post content on social media platforms under the guidance of the PR & Marketing Manager.
- Support in drafting news articles, press releases, and success stories for media.
- Assist with content generation for organization reports to promote visibility and build positive relations with stakeholders.
Public Relations (20%)- Assist in fostering relationships with media outlets, donors, and community partners.
- Research and suggest opportunities for collaboration with external organizations and influencers.
- Coordinate logistics for media engagements and ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels.
Events Management (10%)- Support event planning and logistics, including the creation of promotional materials and event coverage on social media.
- Assist in coordinating event details, such as ushering, VIP arrangements, and liaising with vendors.
- Help manage on-the-day event operations and ensure all promotional aspects are well-executed.
Public relations, journalism, marketing, or a relevant field.
- (1-3) years of experience in the NGO/INGO/Donor communication sector.
- Experience with social media management and basic graphic design (Adobe Suite or similar tools).
