Job Description
Nilaya Culture & Arts Association (Nilaya) is seeking visionary curators to shape our 2025 & 2026 programming. As a newly established arts institution committed to fostering creativity, innovation, and cultural dialogue, Nilaya aims to establish itself as a regional leader in arts and culture with a global outlook. We are assembling a dynamic curatorial team to develop groundbreaking exhibitions, multi-disciplinary projects, in visual and performing arts and other genres that engage diverse audiences. Our programming will leverage flagship initiatives that blend art, wellness, and nature, while fostering strategic partnerships with international institutions for co-programming and shared resources.
At the heart of the Ayla Oasis on the Gulf of Aqaba, Nilaya envisions itself as a vibrant hubfor immersive artistic and cultural experiences. We aspire to expand the horizons of creativity by fostering multidisciplinary and cross disciplinary expressions, celebrating the intersections of contemporary and modern art, performing arts, film, fashion, culinary arts, and design and weaving together the diverse threads of our local and global heritage in a present-day context.
Nilaya is dedicated to transforming the Red Sea region into a beacon for innovation and dialogue through art. By offering a dynamic platform for artists, thinkers, and audiences, we aim to inspire meaningful connections, enrich cultural engagement, and redefine the way art is experienced—immersive, transformative, and inclusive.
Skills
Curators with in-depth knowledge of the Jordanian, regional, and international arts landscape. Experienced and emerging curators with a strong artistic vision. Professionals with expertise in contemporary art, interdisciplinary practices, and global artistic dialogues. Individuals who can conceptualize and execute thought-provoking exhibitions, installations, and public programs. Strong collaborators who can work within a team to deliver high-impact cultural experiences.
