Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Academic Counselor to join our team. This role focuses on assisting students in navigating the "Common App" platform to successfully apply for undergraduate admission to universities in the USA. Success in this position looks like providing personalized support to students, ensuring they are well-prepared, and guiding them through the entire application process. This role plays a critical part in helping our students achieve their academic goals and enhancing our organization's reputation for providing exceptional educational support services.

Skills

Responsibilities:

  • Guide and support students throughout the entire application process on the "Common App" platform, including selecting suitable universities, completing application forms, and preparing necessary documents.
  • Conduct virtual counseling sessions to understand each student's unique needs, preferences, and academic goals.
  • Provide expert advice on crafting personal statements, essays, and other application materials to enhance the chances of acceptance.
  • Monitor application deadlines and ensure timely submission of all materials.
  • Stay updated on changes and updates related to the "Common App" platform and admission processes of various U.S. universities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create resources and materials to assist students with their applications.
  • Maintain detailed records of student interactions and application progress to ensure continuity and quality of service.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. college admissions process, particularly with the "Common App" platform.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proven experience in academic counseling or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for helping students achieve their educational goals.
