Job Purpose:


To Work with the Engineering and Construction Teams to deliver the electrical scope within Projects


Produce Electrical Engineering designs including but not limited to:


  • Load Schedules
  • Single Line Diagrams
  • Control Schematics
  • Plot Plans indicating Electrical Equipment
  • Cable and Ladder rack / tray routing drawings
  • Cable Sizing Calculations
  • Cable schedules
  • Bills of Materials
  • Scope of Works for Installation
    • Complete detailed workpacks that allow Construction Department to install the works
    • Inspection and Test Records
    • Mechanical Completion Certificates
    • Pre-commissioning records
  • Preparation of Equipment Specifications & Data Sheets
    • LV Switchgear
    • Transformers
    • ac & dc UPS
    • LV Motors
    • Cable
  • Preparation of ITT packs for Electrical Equipment and services
  • Provide technical support to Construction and Operations teams
  • Provide mentoring to junior engineers

Responsibilities and Key


Objective: To ensure that the design deliverables, procurement activities, Material deliveries for all electrical scopes are in accordance with the Baseline schedule.

Responsibilities:


Ensure engineering and construction contractors engaged in the execution of the Work:


  • Uphold the Company HSSE standards on all projects
  • Deliver Engineering deliverables in a timely fashion
  • Progress procurement activities in accordance with the schedule
  • Deliver fully tested equipment to site
  • Maintain the Quality standards required.

Education:


Degree in Electrical Engineering


Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience:


10Y + experience in the Electrical engineering


Understanding of Electrical Engineering Theories and practical application of these.


Understanding of:


  • Electronic Modelling of Electrical Networks
    • Short Circuit Analysis
    • Load Flow Analysis
    • Harmonic Analysis
    • Motor starting studies
  • Hazardous Area engineering to EI15 and IEC60079
  • Site construction practices

Knowledge of AutoCad drafting software


Familiarity with IEC standards


Experience with petrochemical installations will be a benefit.


Fluency in written and spoken English


A team player capable of working within a team with personnel from many diverse backgrounds. 


A willingness and ability to develop his/her own skill set by on-the-job training


Self-starter with a strong desire to deliver superior results.


Good presentation, communication and written skills.


Logical thinking and analytical skills.
