Job Purpose:
To Work with the Engineering and Construction Teams to deliver the civil scope within Projects.
Produce Civil Engineering designs including but not limited to:
- Architectural, Civil and Structural Specifications
- Structural Model
- Definition of the Geometry of the Structures
- Definition of Supports and Connections
- Definition of Actions on the Structures
- Definition of the Size and Grade of the Structural Members
- Earthworks Design Calculations
- Definition of Geotechnical Parameters
- Soil Pressure Verifications
- Stability of Retaining Walls
- Concrete Calculations
- Concrete Stress Verifications
- Stability of Foundations
- Reinforcement Bar Requirements
- Structural Steel Calculations
- Steel Stress Calculations
- Buckling of Steel Members
- Connections Design
- Surface Drainage Calculations
- Plot Plans indicating Buildings, Equipment, Roads and Fences
- Earthwork Drawings indicating Cuts and Fills Elevations
- Road Drawings
- Structural Concrete Drawings
- General Arrangement
- Reinforcement
- Bars Bending Schedule

Provide technical support to Construction and Operations teams.
Responsibilities and Key Objectives:
Key objective: To gain extensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry within the civil discipline.
Responsibilities: to deliver the technical tasks and monitor the progress of the external service providers in the delivery of engineering deliverables and materials to site. In addition to support and assist the civil works on site.
Scope comprises all Civil engineering tasks at PF1, PF2, existing and new Well pads, Roads and Flowline installation. The tasks comprise:
- Production of design deliverables
- Estimation of BoQ
- Estimation of Capex for civil works
- Montitoring of the execution of the Work at Site
- Arranging site surveys
Education:
BSc in Civil Engineering
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
10Y + experience in the Civil Engineering field in industry, though not necessarily in the Oil & Gas sector as training will be given in the application of appropriate Civil Engineering methods.
Understanding of Civil Engineering Theories and practical application of these.
Basic understanding of:
- Structural Modelling.
- Reinforced Concrete.
- Structural Steel.
- Geotechnical Engineering.
- Drainage Engineering.
- Knowledge of AutoCad drafting software.
- Strong understanding of site construction practices.
- Experience working in petrochemical installations will be a benefit.
- Knowledge of pipeline/flowline construction will be a benefit.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- A team player capable of working within a team with personnel from many diverse backgrounds.
- A willingness and ability to develop his/her own skill set by on-the-job training.
- Self-starter with a strong desire to deliver superior results.
- Good presentation, communication and written skills.
- Logical thinking and analytical skills.
