Location Baghdad, Baghdad, Iraq Job Purpose:



The Brand Manager will be primarily passionate to complete the Marketing strategy for the oncology and Haematology brands. Additionally, will be responsible for a wide variety of projects, including, but not limited to HCP and Patient Marketing, Convention Planning, Promotional Speaker Training, Sales Communications and Budget Management.
Demonstrates promotional, scientific, and diagnostic experience that will make an impact within a large, global pharmaceutical company to help ensure understanding of the patient journey, product, and market, assemble insights, and develop marketing strategies.
Ensures the timely, high quality in-market companion/complementary marketing solutions to enable efficient patient identification and treatment throughout the patient journey. It includes providing insights into the core cross-functional team, interacting with key HCPs.
A significant element of the role is therefore to develop marketing strategies & tactical plans and establish long-term partnerships with relevant Oncology partners & decision makers in the sophisticated Oncology ecosystem, based on a deep scientific understanding of the different products.
To work in appropriate coordination with the cross-functional team to have marketing understanding and deliver education as appropriate to internal and external partners and implement plans with scientific expertise to help support questions to facilitate efficient product launches, removal of barriers and advance the product's promotion of appropriate marketing solutions as needed.

Key Areas of Responsibility:



Develop and implement Marketing strategies.



Congress Planning –including creation of all promotional materials, coordination of meeting logistics, communications and post meeting follow up Development and execution of the Promotional Speaker Program, including speaker training, materials development, communications and follow up Build, drive and lead engagement and interactions with KEEs and the Oncology community. Chip in to the development of marketing promotional materials aligned with brand strategy Lead or support internal submissions and reviews (medical/legal/regulatory) Participate in all brand planning and budget meetings and assist in development of brand planning achievements. Lead brand budget to ensure maximum Return on Investment and that annual budgets are not exceeded. Lead, contracts and POs for all vendors. Support and build collaborative relationships with the oncology matrix teams (sales, market access, sales operations, medical) Lead all efficiency of programs and initiatives including success supervising criteria and KPIs. Share successes and standard processes Demonstrate and in-depth understanding of the market and competitive landscape and support the company in the identification of new market opportunities, in line with brand strategy. Identify actionable brand insights that help craft brand strategy and direction. Research trends, platforms, and experiences that can drive innovation and performance. Accountable for ensuring brands meet or exceed annual revenue and unit forecasts. Support in the development, evaluation, and delivery of diagnostic strategy for the current and future Oncology products. Generate diagnostics-related insight to craft brand strategy and tactics. Supervise and propose improvement plans for diagnostic related performance. Ensure in-market companion/complementary diagnostics and testing excellence for all product launches, including market readiness evaluation. Provide marketing input for the development of company’s Diagnostic plans and strategy. Collaborate with global / international / regional marketing teams.

Build capability.



Provide AZ internal partners with an understanding of the marketing plans, trends and real or perceived gaps in current scientific knowledge competitive intelligence. Generate evidence through marketing projects collaborating with KEEs / 3rd party companies. Deliver marketing related insightful initiatives including meetings, exhibitions, congresses/symposia, and digital activities. Develop speakers and provide speaker education. Develop insightful materials related to products. Engage, lead, and partner with all members of the cross-functional team on all marketing related activities to ensure AZ's Oncology products' launch readiness and efficient launch of therapy. Provide internal training for sales team and sophisticated training for cross functional team related to products. Develop and implement pre-launch/pre-implementation awareness campaigns related to marketing. Develop own scientific knowledge and share emerging data related to testing with KEEs.

Governance and ensuring overall adherence to processes and regulation [include but not limit to patient safety, clinical trials, promotional activities



All marketing contributions and activities to be lead and supervised by product manager. Ensures compliance with AZ code of conduct, Corporate Governance, Audits requirement, guidelines, codes, policies, and procedures. Ensures that company confidentiality is maintained (i.e., intellectual property, product, strategic and salary information) Discloses potential breach of codes or conducts. Ensure all approvals processes for marketing functions are in place, with respect to local approvals, Data Privacy, Local regulations, and company processes.

Minimum Criteria and Proficiencies:



Minimum 5 years’ experience in pharma companies. Minimum of 3 years s experience in oncology, Hematology or Marketing. Health Care Academic Degree High level of presentation, negotiation, and leadership techniques Skill in interpersonal network relationship with internal and external customers Scientific experience (clinical, academic) to conduct discussions with opinion leaders, KEEs and HCPs Experience in project management. Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Fluent in English Ability to network across geographic and cultural boundaries with flexibility and availability for business trips. A strategic problem solver who can set priorities, should be customer oriented, understand the motives of the industry, creative to find challenges for the business while proactive to solve problems. Influencing / negotiation skills High level of Business acumen Team working and networking. Analytical / data facility - Handling Complexity Implements with excellence - Commitment. Strong Customer focus (analytical power, listening and problem solving) Delivery – gets the job done, meets or goes above and beyond the expectations and exhibits a sense of urgency on critical time dependant issues.
