Job Summary:


Looking for a strategic, intelligent, influential, and forward-thinking candidate whose sole mandate will be to drive incremental business growth in Iraq for Emerson, Final Control - Pressure Management Business Unit (PRM). Responsibility includes achieving business budgets, providing customer support, developing & execution of strategic programs, developing new business opportunities. The chosen candidate will develop situational fluency, define winning strategies, and own the responsibility to meet or exceed the order booking targets, demonstrating Emerson - PRM portfolio of products, services, and solutions.


This position will be based in Basra, Iraq and will be a single contributor role!


In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:


  • Lead PRM for solutions, products and services sales & business development initiatives within Iraq.
  • Responsible to deliver the assigned order booking budget.
  • Implement Emerson and Business Unit (BU) strategic and tactical plans, 
  • Business Development and establish Emerson as the Supplier of Choice. 
  • Develop and implement plans to drive and grow KOB3 business and enhance revenue and profit from the existing installed base.
  • Evaluate and prioritize RFQs and coordinate with Inside Sales and Application Eng team to submit accurate and technically sound quotes, 
  • Negotiate acceptable T&Cs and book clean orders. Top line order booking, hit rate and win rate will be used as the criteria to measure the efficiency of the role.
  • Coordinate with other Emerson Automation Solutions Business Units and improve pull-through content.
  • Travel and meet customer is a key responsibility to develop relationship, influence decision making and promote value selling of Emerson products, solutions, and services.
  • Required to cover customer sites and customers to provide required support. 
  • Mapping customer installed base (IB) and creating/updating site plan is key and routine part of the job. 
  • Engage early in customer turnarounds/shutdowns. 
  • Engage with customer for cataloguing, ensuring spare part recommendations for projects (by providing Spare Parts Interchangeability Record), modifications and operations.
  • Establish and update Long Term Parts Agreements (LTPA) 
  • Engage deeply with end users to upgrade Emerson product/ technology, replace obsolete products, and displace competitor products to improve plant reliability and safety. 
  • Support customer to plan, develop and complete obsolescence programs. 
  • Secure service business for Emerson as an OEM Life Cycle service Provider. Establish long term spare parts and service agreements (LTSA).
  • Financial Requirements: Will have the ownership of annual entity order booking for PRM Iraq and reporting, reviewed on monthly basis, and dedication reported on a Quarterly basis. 
  • Participate in PRM budgeting process & monthly POR call, as needed. 
  • Undertake training to meet the customer site visit requirements, including Power Plants and offshore oil & gas fields. 
  • Attend and present in internal meetings and training, that includes BU, FCTL & Emerson MEA events. 
  • Build an opportunity funnel in CRM (Customer Relationship management tool) and present critical initiatives and opportunity in internal review meetings.
  • Coordinate to publish achievements through internal portals. 
  • Frequent travels to other territories in Iraq including the region of Kurdistan.
  • Candidate must have the required experience, qualification and physical fitness and undergo required mandatory safety training to qualify for frequent site visits, site walkdowns, that includes onshore and offshore visits. Job involves being present at customer sites during project commissioning and as a when required to support the EPCs and end users

Who You Are?


Knowledge of Industrial and Natural Gas Regulators, Pressure Relief Valves, Pressure Reduction Skid and Process industry.


For This Role, You Will Need:


Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering (Mechanical, Instrumentation, Chemical, etc)


proven track record selling experience with Oil & Gas and diverse industries.


Fluency in both English & Arabic is mandatory (Read, right and communicate)


Prior experience in Iraq is mandatory


Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and Power BI


Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:


MBA or equivalent experience is plus.


Service experience in valves is an advantage.
