Title:
Operations Readiness Lead Engineer
Roles and Responsibilities:
As a key member of the Commissioning & Completions team the ORA Lead / Engineer will be self-driven and report to the Commissioning Lead and drive Start Up readiness.
Key responsibilities:
Discipline specific:
- Start Up / Operational readiness knowledge and experience.
- Readiness management experience.
- Knowledge and experience of Start Up and requirements for readiness including
TIV: Technical Integrity Audits
PSSR: Pre Safety Review Audits
PSUA: Pre Start UP Audit
SUOP: Start Up On Paper
VCR: Verification of Readiness
SOF: Statement of Fitness
- Ability to lead and contribute start up readiness reviews.
- Ability to support and facilitate Start Up audits.
- Ability to lead start up readiness meetings with
- Manage Completions interface with Asset to support project Handovers.
- General understanding of start up and sequence of handover.
- Ability to work with clients/ operation to monitor the process and to maintain the readiness safely.
- Participate in the process automation and control optimization and management of change.
Documentation & Compliance
- Management of Start Up audits.
- Management of Start Up actions and close out.
- Ability to create and review of Audit procedures.
- Ability to create SOF along with Engineering, commissioning and completion support.
- Review the operation readiness documents in ShareCat.
Safety & Work Permits
- Complete Majnoon Safety Training – HSE, ERW, PTW, working at height, driving.
- Adhere to all safety process.
- Participate in risk assessments and toolbox talks.
- Ensure compliance with site safety rules.
Key Skills Required
- Good Leadership skills – ability to manage project readiness requirements.
- Good communications skills.
- Ability to lead and chair ORA meetings and discussions with client and project teams.
- Excellent understanding of project completions flow path.
- Strong understanding of completion principles and readiness requirements to support start up and handover.
- Proficiency in reading start up and readiness procedures.
- Knowledge of best practices and start-up strategies.
- Good team skills and ability to oversee Team and contractors.
- Ability and confidence to STOP the job if safety concerns are observed
Education:
- Engineering or technical qualifications in appropriate discipline.
Experience:
- 10 years-experience as Operations Readiness Lead/Engineer on projects.
- Procedure creation and review experience.
- Experience in the Middle East
- Experience in Oil & Gas, water treatment and Power plants are an advantage.
- A good understanding of project Systems Completions.
- Experience and understanding of Operations requirements.
- Process knowledge and experience is an advantage.
