Rotation: 8 weeks on, 4 weeks off, subject to operational requirements
Role Overview:
As an Operations Coordinator with GardaWorld, you will be responsible for providing mobile and static operational support services to ensure the safety and security of all client staff and other personnel who come under duty of care of British Embassy Baghdad, Iraq.
Services
Services provided by the Contractor shall be those typically expected for someone in the Position and include, but not be limited to the provision of mobile and static operational support services to ensure the safety and security of all client staff and other personnel who come under duty of care of the British Embassy Baghdad. Services the Contractor can expect to carry out, would include:
- Deployed within British embassy operations room during a rotating shift period.
- Provision of support and coordination with the Operations Manager to fulfil all aspects of security operations.
- Management accountability and delivery.
- Oversight of the journey management process.
- Plan and coordinate mobile security movements (in conjunction with the Operations Manager.)
- Client liaison and guidance.
- Dissemination of intelligence.
- Maintain embassy personnel headcount.
- Liaise with mobile teams, SAT commander and Ops manager in relation to venue reconnaissance and reporting.
- Any other direction or reasonable request given by appropriate GardaWorld Management team in accordance with GW Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines.
Role requirements
Only candidates that meet and are able to demonstrate the below hiring criteria’s will be considered:
- British & Commonwealth passport holders only.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- SC cleared (or eligibility).
- IT literate (Microsoft Office).
- Conversant with operations room practice and procedures.
- Operational planning and coordination.
- Management accountability and responsibility.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate well under pressure.
- Previous hostile environment experience.
- Possess tact, judgement and able to build strong working relationships with Clients.
- Desirable
- Previous APT leadership experience within a recognised mobile security provider for at least 2 years.
- Held Rank of SNCO or WO in a sovereign armed force, or inspector on a para-military police force, or extensive APT experience.
- Knowledge of journey management in a hostile environment.
- Experience within Iraq / Baghdad.
- Previous FCDO experience.
