Internews is seeking a full-time MENA Regional Human Resources Associate to be based in either Erbil, Iraq or Tunis, Tunisia to assist and facilitate human resources related matters for the MENA region.
The MENA Human Resources Associate will fulfil a wide range of responsibilities pertaining to recruitment, onboarding, contracts administration and personnel data administration. This is a complex administrative support role, requiring some prior experience and training.
The MENA Human Resources Associate will report to, and work closely with, with the MENA Regional Human Resources Manager based in Erbil, Iraq.
Responsibilities
As MENA Human Resources Associate, you will:
Support and facilitate posting job advertisements on Internews’ own career page and external recruitment venues. Review applications and present shortlisted candidates to the hiring managers. Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates. Coordinate with interview panel members to draft interview questions and scoring sheets in close coordination with MENA Regional HR Manager. Provide feedback to the finalists after the completion of a recruitment cycle. Prepare and administer local employment agreements for Internews Tunisia local staff. Maintain both physical and electronic HR archive for Internews Tunisia. Assist in preparing PSC requests and submit them to appropriate channels for processing. Assist in collecting documents to process individual contracts. Assist Regional HR Manager to ensure proper and timely onboarding is provided to new MENA hires. Update leave tracker for Iraq and Tunisia offices and ensure that all paid leave variables are updated and followed on a timely basis. Liaise with Regional HR Manager to participate in HR-related meetings with local employees and ensure proper documentations is fulfilled. Review timesheets and support the office in ensuring that timesheets are registered in a timely manner. Support in conducting vetting for new hires and independent contractors. Create and update records in ERP to reflect changes and setup profiles for new hires. Identify and highlight employee relation issues to MENA Regional HR Manager.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience. University degree in Business Management or Business Administration or equivalent professional experience. Excellent command of English and Arabic (speaking, understanding, and writing). Excellent communication and strong writing skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others and problem-solve in a multicultural, remote work environment. Strong sense of teamwork and productivity. Flexibility to adjust working hours as needed to accommodate periodic shifts in workload and colleagues in different time zones. Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, reliability, and good time management skills.
