Overview

**This position will be physically located in Iraq in support of LOGCAP**


Under supervision of the Laundry Supervisor, the Laundry Attendant Lead works with a group of Laundry Attendants and also works with both washers and dryers to clean articles, such as military clothing, medical, bedding etc. Assists the Laundry Services Manager in the day to day management of the Laundry Services operations at camps by providing oversite, direction, planning, and coordination with sub-contractor and designated Vendors for the Support of occupants. Directly responsible for supervision of one Laundry Services Operation at a designated Camp, comprising of 1 – 4 drop-off/pick-up laundry facilities. Ensures personnel exhibit superior workmanship and focus upon a quality end product. Responsible for supervising the Vectrus staff, custodial, and sub-contractor laundry personnel and ensures that all the laundry provided to the Customer is cleaned IAW PWS, Sub-contractor SOW, Manufacturer equipment settings, and T.E. Ensures that all the laundry equipment, any other relevant equipment are in proper working condition, and that every employee adheres to Policies, Vectrus Policies and Standard Practices (PS&P’s), Performance Work Statement, Quality Plan, Safety Plan, and OSHA requirements and guidelines. Verifies actual hours worked by personnel to reduce manpower expenditure and reports verification to. Accountable for the health and safety of the subordinate employees working in the assigned Laundry facilities. Works in a challenging and fast pace job with last minute changes that may require immediate attention, in order to satisfy the customer.

  • Assists the Laundry Services Manager in the day to day management of the Laundry Services operations at camps by providing oversite, direction, planning, and coordination with sub-contractor and designated Vendors for the Support of occupants. Directly responsible for supervision of one Laundry Services Operation at a designated Camp.
  • Ensures personnel exhibit superior workmanship and focus upon a quality end product.
  • Responsible for supervising the Vectrus staff, custodial, and sub-contractor laundry personnel and ensures that all the laundry provided to the Customer is cleaned IAW PWS, Sub-contractor SOW, Manufacturer equipment settings, and T.E.
  • Ensures that all the laundry equipment, any other relevant equipment are in proper working condition, and that every employee adheres to Policies, Vectrus Policies and Standard Practices (PS&P’s), Performance Work Statement, Quality Plan, Safety Plan, and OSHA requirements and guidelines.
  • Verifies actual hours worked by personnel to reduce manpower expenditure and reports verification to.
  • Accountable for the health and safety of the subordinate employees working in the assigned Laundry facilities.
  • Works in a challenging and fast pace job with last minute changes that may require immediate attention, in order to satisfy the customer.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must provide a copy of the diploma.
    • Must be able to obtain a CAC.
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen
    • Must be able to obtain a Driver’s License.
    • Capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbally.
  • Experience:
    • Must have two (2) years of related experience.
  • Skills:
    • Prioritize responsibilities to handle a demanding workload
    • Ability to work under pressure
  • Supervisory Skills:
    • Collaborative work style fostering cooperation and teamwork.
  • Working Conditions:
    • Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
    • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
    • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
    • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
    • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
