INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking an Instrument Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in advancing Process Automation Solutions across industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Utilities, and Renewable Energy. rotational basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting pre-commissioning and commissioning checks on various electrical equipment, troubleshooting electrical issues, and providing vital technical support to the operations and maintenance teams during plant start-up and commissioning. At INTECH, you will contribute to groundbreaking projects, leveraging expertise in Integrated Control Systems, SCADA Virtualization, Wellhead Automation, and Telecommunication to drive operational excellence and innovation.

What You’ll Lead and Deliver:


  • Perform loop checks, functional tests, and pre-commissioning/commissioning of field instruments (pressure, flow, level, temperature).
  • Calibrate transmitters, switches, valves, positioners, and other control devices using standard test equipment.
  • Install and terminate instrument cables, junction boxes, and panels as per drawings.
  • Interpret and work from P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Assist in DCS/PLC interface testing and ensure accurate signal transmission and control.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faulty instruments and control circuits.
  • Follow PTW (Permit to Work) system and adhere to all HSE policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation such as calibration reports, test sheets, and checklists.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Process) during commissioning activities.
  • Support start-up operations and assist in resolving punch list items.

Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with smart instruments, HART communicators, and calibration tools.
  • Familiarity with control systems (DCS, ESD, PLC) from vendors like Siemens, ABB, Honeywell, Yokogawa, etc.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have: 


Experience: 


  • 6+ years experience in oil & gas commissioning projects (onshore/offshore).

Education:


  • Diploma or Technical Certificate in Instrumentation or Electronics.
  • Strong knowledge of international standards (ISA, IEC, API) related to instrumentation.

Competencies:


  • Hands-on experience with smart instruments, HART communicators, and calibration tools.
  • Familiarity with control systems (DCS, ESD, PLC) from vendors like Siemens, ABB, Honeywell, Yokogawa, etc.
