We are looking to hire a GM to join the team and lead the operational and strategic functions of the company, driving sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and team alignment. The GM will oversee key business functions, including sales, marketing, operations, retail stores, supply chain, and customer service, ensuring seamless coordination across departments to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Planning
- Create and execute strategies to meet revenue, profit, and growth goals, aiming to lead the beauty, fashion, and cosmetics market in retail and ecommerce.
- Identify growth opportunities by analyzing market trends.
- Develop strategic plans to ensure market leadership and outperform the competition.
Operational Management
- Oversee daily operations, for retail and online platforms, ensuring efficiency and alignment with business goals.
- Ensure efficient inventory management and supply chain processes.
- Develop hybrid inventory method to ensure optimal inventory turnover and usage
Retail & B2B
- Launch and manage retail shops in Iraq in key location to drive growth.
- Manage Sales representatives and build B2B business for distributors in Iraq
- Drive sales growth through effective marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement.
Ecommerce & Digital Marketing
- Drive eCommerce growth through data-driven decisions and best-in-class digital marketing strategies.
- Optimize website performance, user experience, and conversion rates.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and influencer campaigns.
- Implement partnerships with relevant businesses / partners to cosmetics and skincare to strengthen user acquisition and customer retention.
- Implement ROI based marketing campaign offline/online to drive growth and brand equity.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, and train and manage store managers and ecommerce teams.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance culture.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and professional development initiatives.
Supply Chain & Inventory Management
- Oversee supply chain operations to ensure on-time delivery and inventory optimization.
- Ensure efficient inventory and supply chain processes
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
Customer Experience
- Ensure a world-class customer experience across all touchpoints.
- Analyze customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
Compliance and Standards
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
- Maintain quality standards for products and services
Skills
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in ecommerce, retail, or cosmetics industry, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of retail and e-commerce best practices.
- Analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and budget management.
- Understanding of digital marketing and e-commerce platforms.
- Proven track record of driving revenue and profit growth in an ecommerce business.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing and ecommerce platforms
- Strong track record in developing business and generating opportunities and partnerships with brands in the region
